Hey guys… can you find me on this page? It’s from a book called We Feel Fine: An Almanac of Human Emotion. I’m not sure where or how they found my picture but they wanted to use it in their books and asked my permission. I’m totally cool with it, I just wonder why they didn’t select something a little more PG. I mean, you can’t see any naughty bits, but I feel sorta like I stick out on the page. Now, time for a Thursday MEME! Yay, this one is called 3x Thursday, it’s simple.
1. How’s the weather where you live? Have the seasons turned for you yet? What season is it where you live? The weather is cool. The days are short. The breeze is getting more snappy. 80% of the trees are bare or getting real close. I’d say the onset of winter is upon us and I’m surprised it hasn’t been more cloudy/stormy/windy yet. The ground will probably begin to harden very soon. And Lake Michigan is no longer a nice place to visit because it gets too cold.
2. Does changing weather (including time changes) affect you at all? If so, how? Well my doctor does say I have Seasonal Affective Disorder and that I should be doing light therapy everyday. But I sort of think light therapy is a bunch of crap… I mean the special ‘lights’ cost ridiculous amounts! I do stay home more often when the days shorten because I don’t like doing a lot at when it’s dark. My body automatically thinks it’s late and I get tired and a bit boring. I usually adjust to it by March.
3. What’s your favorite kind of weather? Why? Summer weather. I love to see people in parks, looking relaxed and comfortable. Not shoveling snow and scraping windows in parkas. Those people never look like they’re enjoying themselves very much. Also, it’s not like your car can get ’stuck’ or ‘buried’ in any kind of summer weather. And as long as I have A/C I can stay comfy when I need to. I bundle up 24/7 in winter. Even just around the house. I think I probably gain weight too. But a lot of that is pretty typical for people. I also really like the smell of fresh cut grass and I loveee lemonade/ice cream in summer. Hot cocoa is okay, but just not as amazing.
And for good measure I’ll throw in another meme called Girls Talk. This one is all about chocolate. Let me share some photos with you… I think that’s all I need to do. I love chocolate. Chocolate with almonds, peanut butter, milk, whipped cream, ice cream, peanuts, etc. It’s yum. What more can I say on that topic?
